Je wast zijde het liefst met de hand op 30°C. Gebruik een mild wasmiddel voor wol/zijde. Keer het artikel binnenstebuiten en was het voorzichtig, zonder te wrijven of te laten weken. Spoel koud na. Niet wringen of draaien.
Je droogt zijde niet in de droger. Leg het kledingstuk plat op een schone handdoek en vorm het rustig in model. Laat het aan de lucht drogen, uit direct zonlicht.
Je strijkt zijde op lage temperatuur (één stip). Strijk binnenstebuiten met een persdoek. Gebruik weinig of geen stoom en geen waterspray om vlekken te voorkomen.
