Je wast zijde het liefst met de hand op 30°C. Gebruik een klein beetje fijnwasmiddel voor wol/zijde. Keer je kledingstuk binnenstebuiten. Laat het niet langer dan 5 minuten weken. Beweeg het water rustig en wrijf niet. Spoel met koel water. Was je toch in de machine? Kies het handwas- of fijnwasprogramma (20–30°C), lage toeren (max. 400–600 rpm) en gebruik een waszak. Gebruik geen bleekmiddel. Chemisch reinigen (P) kan.

Doe zijde niet in de droger. Druk het water er zachtjes uit; wring niet. Rol het kort in een schone handdoek om extra vocht op te nemen. Laat het liggend drogen of hang het op een brede hanger. Droog uit de zon en weg van directe warmte.

Strijk zijde lauw (één stip). Strijk aan de binnenkant en gebruik een dunne doek tussen strijkijzer en stof. Gebruik weinig tot geen stoom. Beweeg rustig en blijf niet te lang op één plek. Een kledingstomer op lage stand mag ook.
