Men's Loafers

A loafer is a slip-on shoe without laces: effortless to put on and just as polished as a lace-up. At GENTS you will find loafers in suede in blue, cognac, green and sand, as well as the penny loafer, with the leather strap across the instep that once held a coin.

How to Wear Loafers

Loafers belong with a smart-casual outfit. Wear them with chinos, linen trousers or dark jeans, paired with a polo, a short-sleeve shirt or a casual blazer. In summer they also look handsome with a lightweight suit. With invisible socks it appears as though you are wearing them without socks, while your feet stay dry.

A loafer looks best when your trousers fall just at or just above the shoe. Long trousers that break over the shoe make the silhouette look unsettled.

Caring for Suede

Suede is soft and beautiful, but it asks for a little attention. Treat new loafers with a protective spray before wearing them for the first time, so that moisture and dirt have less chance to take hold. Brush them dry with a suede brush after wearing, and let wet shoes dry slowly, never on the radiator.
