Men's Polo Shirts
A polo sits between a T-shirt and a dress shirt: a soft knitted fabric with a collar, giving you a slightly more polished look. Polo under a blazer or on its own
- Under a blazer, wear a plain polo in navy, white or a soft shade; the collar stays within the lapels.
- For casual Friday at the office or drinks after work, combine a polo with chinos and loafers.
- When it gets cooler, layer a sweater or an overshirt over it, or choose a long-sleeved polo.
Size and fit
A polo fits well when the shoulder seam sits on your shoulder and the hem falls just past your waistband, so you can wear it untucked. The sleeves of a short-sleeved polo end halfway down your upper arm. If you are unsure about your size, consult the polo shirt size chart. Wash a polo inside out on a low-temperature programme and do not hang it by the collar, so it keeps its shape.
