Was zijde met de hand in lauw water (max. 30°C). Gebruik een klein beetje mild wasmiddel voor zijde. Beweeg het kledingstuk rustig door het water. Wrijf of wring niet. Spoel voorzichtig met koud water tot het water helder is.

Druk het water er zachtjes uit (niet uitwringen). Rol het kledingstuk in een handdoek om extra vocht te verwijderen. Leg het daarna plat neer en breng het in vorm. Laat drogen uit de zon en weg van warmtebronnen.
Lage temperatuur (1 punt) Binnenstebuiten Persdoek Geen stoom
Strijk op lage temperatuur, bij voorkeur als de stof nog licht vochtig is. Keer het kledingstuk binnenstebuiten en gebruik een dunne doek tussen het strijkijzer en de stof. Strijk kort en zonder stoom om vlekken en glans te voorkomen.
