Je wast leer niet in de wasmachine en ook niet met de hand. Veeg vuil weg met een zachte, licht vochtige doek. Dep, niet hard wrijven. Voor vlekken gebruik je een geschikte leerreiniger. Test altijd eerst op een onopvallende plek. Gebruik geen bleekmiddel of agressieve schoonmaakmiddelen. Laat het zo nodig reinigen door een leerspecialist.
Je droogt leer niet in de droger. Laat het rustig aan de lucht drogen, plat of op een hanger, uit de zon en weg van kachels of andere warmtebronnen. Stop eventueel papier aan de binnenkant om de vorm te houden. Föhn of wrijf het leer niet droog.
Je strijkt leer niet. Hang het op een stevige hanger zodat vouwen eruit kunnen zakken. Blijft er een kreuk zitten, laat het dan behandelen door een leerspecialist. Gebruik geen directe warmte op leer.
