How to tie it
The classic bow tie
It seems complicated, but it's the same knot as your shoelaces. Practice it once around your knee, and you'll master it at your neck.
- Place the bow tie around your neck with the left end approximately 4 cm longer than the right.
- Drape the long end over the short end and pull it up through the loop at your neck from below.
- Fold the short end in half to create a horizontal loop: this becomes the front of your bow tie.
- Let the long end fall straight down over the centre of that loop.
- Fold the long end in half and tuck it behind the front loop through the opening behind the knot.
- Gently pull both loops simultaneously and straighten your bow tie.

Was je polyester kleding op 30°C, het liefst op een fijnwasprogramma. Keer het binnenstebuiten. Gebruik een mild wasmiddel en was met vergelijkbare kleuren. Gebruik geen bleekmiddel. Een waszak is handig bij delicate items.
Laat je kleding het liefst aan de lucht drogen op een hanger of wasrek; polyester droogt snel. Wil je toch de droger gebruiken? Kies een lage temperatuur (fijn/anti‑kreuk) en droog kort. Haal het direct uit de droger om kreuk te voorkomen.
Als strijken nodig is: strijk op lage temperatuur (één stip). Gebruik een persdoek en strijk bij voorkeur aan de binnenkant. Vermijd stoom of gebruik heel weinig stoom. Hang het kledingstuk anders even in een dampende badkamer om kreukels te verminderen.
