Je wast leer niet in de wasmachine en ook niet met de hand. Verwijder vlekken meteen met een licht vochtige, zachte doek of een spons. Gebruik zo nodig een speciale leerreiniger. Bij hardnekkige vlekken laat je het artikel reinigen door een leer-specialist. Test een middel altijd eerst op een onopvallende plek.
Je stopt leer niet in de droger. Laat het aan de lucht drogen op kamertemperatuur, hangend of plat liggend. Houd het uit direct zonlicht en weg van radiatoren of andere warmtebronnen. Vorm het artikel tijdens het drogen rustig terug in model.
Je strijkt leer niet. Zitten er lichte kreukjes in, dan laat je het uithangen op een hanger. Gebruik geen stoom of hitte op het leer.
