Je wast katoen het beste op 40°C. Was met vergelijkbare kleuren en keer het kledingstuk binnenstebuiten om kleur en eventuele prints te beschermen. Gebruik een mild wasmiddel en geen bleek. Kies een normaal of laag centrifugeerprogramma om slijtage te voorkomen.
Je kunt katoen in de droger op lage temperatuur drogen. Wil je krimp beperken, droog dan aan de lucht en leg of hang het kledingstuk netjes uit. Haal het direct na het programma uit de machine en breng het in vorm terwijl het nog licht vochtig is.
Je strijkt katoen heet op de katoenstand (tot 200°C). Gebruik gerust stoom. Strijk binnenstebuiten en vermijd direct contact met prints, borduursels of accessoires om glansplekken te voorkomen.
