Je wast 100% zijde het liefst met de hand op maximaal 30°C. Gebruik een mild wasmiddel voor wol of zijde. Niet wrijven of wringen. Dompel kort onder, beweeg het water rustig en spoel daarna met koud water. Gebruik geen bleekmiddel. Wil je toch in de machine wassen? Kies een fijnwasprogramma, stop het artikel in een waszak en zet de centrifuge laag (max. 400–600 tpm).
Na het wassen knijp je het water er zacht uit. Rol het kledingstuk in een schone handdoek en druk licht aan. Laat liggend drogen op een handdoek, uit de zon en weg van warmtebronnen. Niet in de droger.
Strijk op lage temperatuur (1 stip, max. 110°C), bij voorkeur binnenstebuiten. Gebruik een persdoek tussen strijkijzer en stof. Een kledingstomer mag ook, hou wat afstand en beweeg rustig. Gebruik weinig tot geen stoom om watervlekken te voorkomen.
