Was bij voorkeur met de hand in koud tot lauw water (max. 30°C) met een mild zijdeshampoo of wolwasmiddel. Gebruik weinig middel. Spoel met koud water. Gebruik geen bleek, geen wasverzachter, en laat zijde niet weken. Wring of draai het niet uit.

Wil je de machine gebruiken? Kies het zijde/fijnwas-programma, koud (max. 30°C), laag toerental (max. 400–600) en gebruik een waszak. Was apart of met soortgelijke kleuren.

Druk water voorzichtig uit door het item in een schone handdoek te rollen. Leg daarna plat te drogen op een handdoek en vorm het in model. Hang eventueel op aan een brede hanger, uit direct zonlicht. Droog niet in de droger en niet op of boven de verwarming.

Strijk binnenstebuiten op lage temperatuur (1 stip), het liefst als de stof nog licht vochtig is. Gebruik een persdoek tussen strijkijzer en stof. Zet geen hoge druk en laat het ijzer niet stilstaan. Je kunt ook kort stomen op lage stand met wat afstand.
