Tailcoat · White tie
White tie: the highest dress code there is
If the invitation says 'white tie', there is only one answer: the tailcoat. It is the most formal attire a man can wear, and every rule of it is a hundred years old.
The tailcoat is cut short at the front and extends into two tails at the back. Beneath it always belong a white piqué white tie waistcoat, a dress shirt with wing collar and a white bow tie. The waistcoat stays buttoned and just does not show below the jacket — that is how you recognise a well-made tailcoat.
You wear: State banquet, court ball, doctoral ceremony, Vienna ball
The specialist in tuxedos, tailcoats and morning suits
A gala, a wedding or a state banquet calls for clothing you don't buy every week. That's why you don't have to do it all at once: you put together each piece separately, in your own size.
Only what you need
Already have the right shirt or black shoes? Skip that item. You don't need to buy everything.
Every piece in your own size
A jacket 52 with trousers 50 is perfectly normal. You choose per piece, not one size for everything.
The etiquette is right
Bow tie, waistcoat, shirt and shoes belong to the dress code. We only present what belongs with it.
Fitting in store
Everything arrives as separate items: fitting, exchanging or having alterations made is done in one of our stores.
