Was zijde het liefst met de hand in lauw water (max. 30°C). Gebruik een mild wasmiddel voor wol/zijde. Keer het kledingstuk binnenstebuiten. Was je toch in de machine? Kies het fijnwasprogramma, gebruik een waszak en laat kort draaien. Niet wrijven, niet weken en niet wringen. Druk het water er zachtjes uit.
Rol het kledingstuk eerst in een handdoek om overtollig water op te nemen. Breng het rustig in vorm. Laat plat drogen op een schone handdoek, uit direct zonlicht en weg van warmtebronnen. Gebruik geen droger.
Strijk op lage temperatuur (1 stip), het liefst binnenstebuiten en met een dunne doek ertussen. Beweeg het strijkijzer steeds door en druk niet te hard. Je mag ook licht stomen op afstand om kreukels te verminderen.
